Today I will be show you what parts to pick to make a great budget PC for $400 which can run new games at 1080p at high – ultra settings with 40 – 60 FPS.
Processor – Intel Pentium G3258 3.2GHz Dual-Core Processor $64.89 – This processor is a very good processor, people may say that “you need a quad core processor for gaming” but that is simply not true, there is many videos of people running games such as The Witcher 3, the new Call of Dutys, and more new games. As well this processor has hyper threading so it is basically 2 cores and 2 virtual cores.
Motherboard – Biostar B85MG Micro ATX LGA1150 Micro ATX Motherboard $49.89 – I personally own this motherboard, and it has no problems, its basic, but it gets the job done. It has 2 slots of DDR3 memory slots which you can ethier use 1066, 1333, or 1600 MHz speed of ram. As well it has it has 1 PCI Express 3.0 x16 slot, and 2 PCI Express x1 slots, make sure if you get this motherboard to use the PCI Express 3.0 x16 slot. It has 4 SATA 6Gb/s ports for usbs they have 2 USB 3.0 ports, and 2 USB 2.0 ports
Ram – Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 $49.99 – This ram set was the cheapest, but most reliable ram set I could find for the money, its pretty standard, 2 sticks of 4 GB so we can get 8 GB of dual channel ram. This ram set will run every game on PC right now.
Storage – Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5″ 7200 RPM Internal Hard Drive 47.99 – This hard drive will load Windows 8.1 in about 7 seconds, it is 1 TB which should all your games, photos, videos, and anything else you might have on your hard drive.
Graphics Card – XFX Radeon R9 270 2GB Core Edition – The R9 270 is a very solid GPU for the money, it will run all the new games at high – ultra settings at 1080p, for example it will run GTA 5 at very high settings 1080p 60 FPS. It has 2 GB of V Ram which means you should be able to run almost all games at 1080p maybe with a few texture mods even. You will be able to do do some overclocking on this GPU if you choose to but even if you don’t it is still a solid choice.
Case – Corsair SPEC-01 RED ATX Mid Tower Case – This case is good looking and has red LED’s in the front and has nice building room on the inside, everything will fit into our case and will look good too.
Power Supply – Corsair CX 430W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX – There isn’t much to say about this power supply, its reliable power supply, and power efficient. And that’s all in this build.
